Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026

AfroBeat Lab is built for discovery, not for collecting personal history. We keep this product intentionally lightweight in data terms.

1. A privacy-first listening experience

AfroBeat Lab is designed as a creative product, not as a personal data vault. Our default approach is simple: process only what is required to generate music and keep the rest out of scope.

2. Information used for generation

When you request a track, we process your prompt text and selected generation settings (for example, mood, style, or similar options exposed in the app). This request is sent to FAL infrastructure, where Minimax Music 2.6 is used to generate audio output.

We do not require you to submit legal names, personal addresses, identity documents, private phonebooks, or private message histories to use the generation features.

3. What we intentionally do not collect

We do not build personal dossiers, do not sell personal data, and do not run user-to-user private communication channels inside the app. AfroBeat Lab is not a social network, not an inbox platform, and not a people-discovery product.

4. Technical identifiers and measurement

To keep core product operations stable, the app may use a technical unique identifier. This ID can support limited attribution, product diagnostics, and notification routing.

We use Singular and OneSignal as service providers for analytics and push delivery functions. These technical signals are used to understand app performance and maintain communication channels, not to personally identify users in daily life.

5. Push notifications

If notifications are enabled on your device, OneSignal may use a device-level push token or similar technical identifier to deliver alerts. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

6. Prompt safety expectations

Prompts should be treated as creative instructions. Please avoid entering sensitive personal data, confidential business details, or private third-party information in prompt fields. Keep requests focused on music generation.

7. Data sharing and subprocessors

We share limited request data only with providers required to operate the service: FAL (generation processing), Singular (measurement/attribution), and OneSignal (push infrastructure). We do not share data for unrelated advertising resale.

8. Retention approach

We keep data only for as long as needed to operate, secure, and improve AfroBeat Lab, or as required by applicable law. Retention windows may vary based on technical logs, provider requirements, and abuse-prevention needs.

9. Your controls and requests

You may contact us for privacy-related questions, including requests about data handling. You may also control certain data flows directly from your device settings (for example, push notification preferences).

10. International processing

Depending on infrastructure routing, data may be processed in regions outside your country. We work with established providers and apply reasonable measures to keep processing aligned with privacy and security expectations.

11. Policy updates

We may update this policy to reflect product improvements, legal requirements, or provider changes. The current version date is shown at the top of this page.
